Reflecting on Impact – 2023 Academic Success Mentorship and Career Guidance Program

In 2023, the Academic Success Foundation made significant strides in empowering final-year students in Ghana’s Upper East Region. Through our flagship Mentorship and Career Guidance Program, we engaged 315 students across 5 senior high schools, providing them with the tools, resources, and motivation they need to prepare for life after school.

Our sessions focused on essential life and career skills such as goal setting, decision-making, understanding tertiary and TVET pathways, entrepreneurship opportunities, financial literacy, and digital readiness. With the help of experienced mentors and industry professionals, students were guided through self-discovery exercises and exposed to real-world career options.

Feedback from the 2023 participants was overwhelmingly positive. Many students expressed how the sessions helped them gain clarity on their future aspirations and build the confidence to pursue them. Teachers and school administrators also commended the program for its relevance and impact.

We are proud of what we achieved in 2023 and remain committed to creating even more opportunities for young people through continued mentorship and guidance.
