Scaling Access and Impact – 2024 Northern Women in Technology (N-WIT) Program

Building on the success of our previous editions, the 2024 Northern Women in Technology (N-WIT) program trained an inspiring 52 young women, marking a significant growth in reach and impact. Held in the Upper East Region, this program is part of our ongoing commitment to create inclusive access to digital skills for women in underserved communities.

The expanded curriculum this year included data entry, spreadsheet analysis using Microsoft Excel, and an introduction to entrepreneurship in tech. Participants also received training on online tools for learning and productivity, allowing them to explore pathways in both education and employment.

What made this year’s edition even more special was the diversity of participants and the level of engagement. We heard powerful stories from young women who were previously limited by their circumstances but are now exploring careers in ICT, planning to start digital ventures, or aiming to mentor others in their communities.

The 2024 cohort left empowered, connected, and eager to contribute to the growing digital economy. We are excited to continue supporting them through mentorship, job shadowing, and further training opportunities.

The future of tech is female, and N-WIT is proud to be part of the journey!
